Virgin Voyages - Resilient Lady Day 4 - Sea Day, Lola's Library, Extra Virgin and Miss Behave Show

Writer: Lizzy and LauraLizzy and Laura

This is Day Four of our four-day cruise to Amsterdam, but we’ve decided to stay on board for another three days, doing a back-to-back cruise. It’s been quite the adventure already!

After a late night, we definitely needed a lie-in. We didn’t leave the cabin until after midday, and when we did, we went straight to the deck to get some fresh air. We joined Tom and Dom (Tom and Dom Travel), who were enjoying a cold drink outside, and it felt great to unwind, even though the wind picked up a bit later on.

Bon Voyage Bubbles

Since we hadn't had the traditional Virgin Voyages sailaway party due to embarkation issues, Virgin Voyages threw a Bon Voyage Bubbles by the main pool which was great fun. Staff kept pouring unlimited champagne, and there was lots of dancing. Everyone got really involved, making it a lively and enjoyable afternoon.

Lunch at The Galley

We weren’t hungry enough for a big meal when we first woke up, so we had a croissant from Grounds Club as a snack. We love the take away pastries from here and think its fab that you can take them back to your cabin to enjoy.

Once we were ready for lunch we headed to the Galley. We tried some tacos to start (they were delicious!), followed by burgers. The food was freshly prepared, and we love the buzzer system that lets you know when your food is ready.

In the afternoon, we took a little stroll around the ship and popped into the Virgin shop to buy a fridge magnet. Unfortunately, there were none to be found! It’s a good excuse to come back to Resilient Lady on another trip, though.

After a busy few days, we were feeling pretty tired, so we decided to relax on our cabin balcony. The hammock was so inviting, and we both had a nap before getting ready for the evening.

Extra Virgin

Dinner at Extra Virgin was definitely one of the highlights of the day. We’re both huge fans of Italian food, so we were really excited to try it. Lizzy had the meatballs as a starter ( we would definitely recommend them!), followed by ragu and steak. Laura had calamari, followed by carbonara and sea bass. The carbonara was particularly enjoyable as recommended by Mike from Sail with Gail and Mike.

The Miss Behave Show

After dinner, we made our way to The Red Room for the Miss Behave Show. We had heard great things about it and were not disappointed. It was hilarious, though definitely not for the easily offended. Some audience members did leave, but we had an absolute blast and laughed the whole way through.

Lola's Library

Next, we headed to the Manor for Lola's Library. this was another great show, so entertaining and full of energy! We ended up standing at the side of the stage, but it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Both of these performances were unlike anything we’ve seen on a cruise before, with incredible singing and dancing.

A Quiet End to the Night

After all the excitement, we were ready for a more low key drink, so we popped into On the Rocks. It was nice to relax and have a quiet moment after all the action.

We ended the night in the traditional way with a trip up to the Galley for a burger.

Another Brilliant Day

We’re loving our time on Resilient Lady, and even though we’re a little tired, we’re still having an amazing time. The food has been fantastic, the shows have been top-notch, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds!
